RAV Pan (Handpan)
- percussion instrument consists of two interconnected metal hemispheres: Ding side (upper part) and GU side (lower part). On the Ding side there are 7-8 tonal areas forming a "tonal circle". It surrounds a central dome named DING (similar to a Gong). On the GU side there is a resonator hole measuring 10 cm. this hole can be played as an Oud or used to modulate the Ding sound. There are several ways to extract sound from a Handpan: blow with your fingertips, thumbs, the base of the brush. Usually the musician has a Handpan when playing on his knees or on a special stand. RAV Pan has an air diffuser Heartbeats Sound, which ensures proper air circulation inside the instrument, increasing the decay time of the sound and making it more dense and clear. Heartbeats Sound has two positions: Closed-for transportation; Open-for playback. To activate the diffuser, you need to extend it from the bottom 2 cm so that the edge of the Heartbeats Sound is fixed on the extreme part of the RAV Pan. Rav Pan music is a sound therapy that gives physical pleasure. To start playing the Hand pan you can without much of specific knowledge.
