These are 27 / 48 Extension springs. 27″ long with 48 inches of stretch. 27″ long is industry standard for 8′ tall garage doors – these are the only length extension springs currently being manufactured. If the existing springs are not 27″ long – if you have the correct weight (pull) and door height springs, the balance will be correct.
