FLUKE Y8100 purchased new, never used until day this was tested then posted to Ebay for sale. In original box with original manual and original dual banana plug cable. 20A/200A switch selectable input. Zeroing thumb control on front along with low battery indicator. Converts reading using 0-2VDC scale on voltmeter (20A/200A = 2VDC). Temporary or lockable on/off squeeze trigger. Clamp opens to 1", closes completely around cable up to 3/4". Max working voltage 480VAC/600VDC.
I decided to test this, but when I pulled the batter holder out, not realizing what to expect, I broke off the (+) wire. Soldering it back on, I accidentally melted a bit of the holder. It is purely a cosmetic issue, as the batteries still snap firmly in place, and only come out if you pull on them. But for full disclosure, the holder now has some plastic gone (see last photo red arrow head). I would add that when you are pulling the battery holder out, don't pull too hard. The wires aren't very big.
I did then test the unit, first to see if the zero worked (it did), then on a small space heater AC line, where it showed around 8A pulled. It is not a comprehensive test, but suggests this is NOT another "non-working" or "for parts only" unit. Should be good, and given its history, makes sense it would be.
